Seasonal specialties including shikwasa (Sept-Jan) and large akatsuchi (red soil) radish (Nov-May) can be purchased at reasonable prices. At Furusato Shokudo, umibudo-don, a rice bowl topped with fresh sea grapes and sashimi (¥750), and a soft serve featuring the village’s shikwasa juice (¥300) are popular.
