Together with the adjacent Fuchaku Beach, Tiger Beach is well liked by locals and is often filled with people looking to enjoy the sunset in tranquil surroundings. Fuchaku Beach, on the other hand, is a popular spot for walking the dog.

Kaichu-doro Beach

The route from the Katsuren Peninsula to Ikei Island, including the 4.7-kilometer-long Kaichu-doro -- an inter-island causeway that cuts through the shallow water between the main island of Okinawa and Henza Island --- is a popular choice for a scenic drive. A roadside park situated at the midpoint of the causeway has a concrete shoreline and a park area with a lush lawn and benches, making it an ideal place for picnics.

This beach is located on your right as you arrive on Kouri Island via the Kouri Bridge. Although the beach may not be the best snorkeling spot on the island, with its shallow, crystal-clear water and sandy bottom it provides a safe swimming experience for everyone, including children. Rental services for snorkeling equipment and beach parasols, a shop, restrooms and shower facilities are available.
