The northern part of Okinawa has a very high quality of water, enhancing the flavor of awamori from this Nago-based distillery. Visitors can enjoy samples of not only awamori, but also various other liquors such as rum made from sugarcane and shochu -- a distilled spirit made from Okinawan purple sweet potatoes.
