“Okinawa Tropical Illumination,” a daily lighting show, has been underway at Churayashi Park, formerly known as the Southeast Botanical Garden, since the end of October. The event is scheduled to continue for another month, so those who have missed the show have a chance to marvel at the spectacular until the end of May.

The illumination features a spectacular showcase of lotus flowers, hibiscus, honeysuckle, and other motifs unique to the botanical garden, creating a world of illumination unique to Okinawa.

In November 2023, the show was awarded the second place in the "Illumination Event Category" of the 1st International Illumination Awards by Night View Tourists in Japan, and was recognized as one of the "Three Great Night Views of Okinawa" in 2022.
