This three-day festival aims to celebrate Izena Island as the birthplace of King Sho En, the founder of the Second Sho Dynasty of the Ryukyu Kingdom. A large variety of events and activities, including dragon boat races, hands-on aerial sports workshops, a newly introduced Okinawan folk song contest and drum performances by groups from all over the prefecture, can be enjoyed during the festival.
