Nanjo craftsmen and businesses will showcase their wares at the popular Depot Island Boardwalk in American Village on Dec. 14 (Sat). The event is a good chance to shop for unique presents just before Christmas.

At the market, businesses from Nanjo City will exhibit and sell sundries, accessories, Okinawan pottery, foods, and local specialties. A relaxation area offers traditional Thai massages, foot pressure point remedies, and other esthetic treatments.

Nanjie, Nanjo City's popular children's character, is also scheduled to appear, and visitors are welcome to take pictures and interact with the character.

Of particular interest is an exhibit by “Japanese Sword Forgery,” the only Japanese sword maker in the prefecture that produces Japanese swords. For more about their swords, see https://kaneruor.jp/
